Fournifix is a versatile and user-friendly double-sided iron-on fusible web, perfect for creating appliqués and reinforcing fabrics. This thin, double-sided adhesive layer comes with a paper backing, making it easy to apply precise and durable appliqués to textiles.

Application:

• Preparation: Cut a piece of Fournifix and the desired appliqué shape. Place the rough (adhesive) side of Fournifix onto the wrong side of the fabric.

• Ironing: Cover Fournifix with a damp cloth and iron for 10-12 seconds with a warm iron (wool setting). This first ironing step melts the adhesive layer and bonds it to the fabric. Ensure the iron does not slide to prevent shifting of the adhesive layer.

• Paper Removal: Allow the fabric to cool, then carefully peel the paper off the fabric, exposing the second adhesive layer.

• Attaching the Appliqué: Place the fabric with the exposed adhesive layer onto the desired position of the underlying fabric. Cover again with a damp cloth and press firmly with the iron. This permanently secures the appliqué.

Additional Information:

• Repair and Reinforcement: For repairing damaged fabrics, use a piece of fabric that is 1-2 cm larger than the area to be repaired. Place Fournifix on the wrong side of the patch and follow the ironing instructions above to create a durable repair.

• Removal: To remove the appliqué later, simply iron with a damp cloth and carefully peel off the appliqué. Any adhesive residue can be removed with denatured alcohol.
