The Pronty Jersey Repair Cloth offers a simple solution for repairing holes or tears in stretch fabrics. This iron-on repair patch is specially designed for fabrics with stretch, such as jersey, tricot and other machine knitted materials. Thanks to the stretchability of the repair cloth, it remains firmly in place, even with a lot of movement.

How does it work? Cut a piece of the repair cloth in the desired size and round the corners with scissors. Then you iron the cloth on the inside of the damaged clothing. The repair cloth adheres firmly and ensures an almost invisible repair. This way you can easily and quickly restore your favorite t-shirts, sweatpants, leggings and other stretchy garments.

The Pronty Jersey Repair Cloth is suitable for thin, fine-meshed and stretchable textiles. For very thin fabrics such as silk and chiffon we recommend the use of repair cloth for light fabrics, while a special version is available for jeans and denim. The repair cloth is made of 100% polyester and measures 12 x 45 cm.

With the Pronty Jersey Repair Cloth you can make clothing repairs quickly and easily. Order now and give your favorite stretchable garments a new life!

Instructions for ironing on repair cloth

Supplies:

  • Repair cloth
  • Iron
  • Cotton setting on the iron
  • Tea towel or cloth
  • Garment on which the repair cloth is to be ironed

Step 1: Preparation

  • Make sure the garment is clean and dry before you start ironing on the repair fabric.
  • Cut a piece of the repair cloth in the desired size and round the corners with scissors.
  • Heat the iron on the cotton setting. This ensures the optimum temperature for ironing on the repair cloth.

Step 2: Preheating the garment

  • Place the garment on an ironing board or other flat surface.
  • Iron with the iron over the place where the repair cloth is to be attached for about 10 seconds. This will help warm the fabric and make it easier to iron the repair cloth.

Step 3: Placement of the repair cloth

  • Place the repair cloth on the desired spot on the garment.
  • Make sure the repair cloth is properly aligned and completely on the fabric.

Step 4: Protection with a cloth

  • Place a tea towel or other thin cloth over the repair cloth. This protects the fabric from direct contact with the iron and prevents any damage.

Step 5: Ironing

  • Press the iron with moderate pressure on the cloth and slowly move back and forth over the repair cloth.
  • Iron for about 30 seconds to ensure that the repair cloth adheres well to the fabric.
  • Make sure you cover the repair cloth completely with the iron so that it heats evenly.

Step 6: Check the result and cool down

  • Carefully remove the cloth and check that the repair cloth is firmly attached to the fabric.
  • Let the repair cloth cool down before using the garment again.
  • If the repair cloth is not firmly attached, repeat the ironing procedure with slightly more pressure and ironing time. However, make sure to avoid heat-sensitive synthetics.

Important tips:

  • Do not iron on heat-sensitive synthetic fabrics such as PVC, nylon, acetate or rayon as they may melt or become damaged.
  • If you are unsure about the garment's fabric, check the care label for ironing and washing instructions.
  • Be careful when handling a hot iron to avoid burns.
  • Always follow the instructions and warnings that come with the iron.

With this manual you should be able to iron the repair cloth on a piece of clothing in a safe and effective way. Always remember to be careful and avoid the heat sensitive fabrics to prevent damage to the fabric and repair cloth. Let the repair cloth cool down before wearing the garment again. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask before you start ironing on the repair cloth. Good luck repairing your garment!
