Before applying the iron-on repair patch, it's important to preheat the fabric with an iron. Then, place the patch on the damaged area and cover it with a tea towel or cotton cloth. Iron the entire area on high heat, without steam, for about 20 to 30 seconds, or until the patch is fully bonded to the fabric. Let it cool down before using the fabric again.
